Why We Exist

IntegrityStandard exists because high-risk environments cannot afford ambiguity.

When investigations are inconsistent, documentation is weak, or reporting pathways are unclear, organisations and the people within them are exposed to unnecessary risk.

Fear leads to poor decisions. Pressure leads to shortcuts. Ambiguity leads to risk.

We ensure investigations, HR processes, and safeguarding responses are conducted fairly, thoroughly and defensibly from initial concern to resolution.

No bending. No dilution. No cosmetic compliance.

Only systems that stand up when tested.

Not Branding. Not Aspiration. Practice.

IntegrityStandard's work is guided by clear professional principles that prioritise safeguarding, governance, integrity and responsible leadership.

These are not branding language or aspirational statements.

They exist to ensure advice remains independent, defensible, and aligned with the core purpose of safeguarding.

Child Safety First

Every system, policy, and governance decision ultimately serves one purpose: protecting the safety and wellbeing of children.

Respect for Leadership Responsibility

Leaders in early childhood carry significant responsibility for children, teams, and organisations. Our work is designed to support and strengthen that leadership, not complicate it.

Accountability

Governance decisions must be capable of standing up to scrutiny. We support organisations to document, assess, and manage safeguarding matters in ways that remain defensible.

Integrity

We operate with independence and professional honesty. Advice is grounded in regulatory frameworks, operational reality, and the responsibility to protect children.

Clarity

Safeguarding and governance work must be structured and understandable. We prioritise clear processes, practical frameworks, and decision-making that leaders can confidently apply.

We tell the truth even when it is inconvenient, uncomfortable or confronting.

How We Operate

IntegrityStandard works alongside leaders to strengthen systems, decision-making and accountability within regulated environments.

Our approach is grounded in procedural fairness, ethical judgement and practical implementation by ensuring processes are not only compliant, but effective.

We focus on outcomes.

When governance is clear and decisions are defensible:

Children are safer.

Teams feel supported and accountable.

Approved Providers are better protected, not only reputationally, but ethically and operationally.

Our work strengthens overall quality of care and organisational resilience, not just regulatory compliance.

Procedure. Process. Protection.

Safeguarding, governance and culture cannot function in isolation. In regulated, child-focused environments, weakness in one domain undermines the others.

Safeguarding & Reportable Conduct

Designing and strengthening reportable conduct and child protection systems from framework level through to practical implementation. End-to-end investigations, procedural fairness oversight, triage pathway development and governance literacy for Responsible Persons.

Governance & Organisational Integrity

Strengthening delegations, risk oversight systems, incident review processes and reporting frameworks. Auditing governance at multiple levels, from board reporting structures to operational incident management, identifying gaps between written frameworks and lived practice.

Culture & Operational Strengthening

Structured culture analysis through leadership interviews, team meeting observation, service environment review and baseline engagement assessment. Examining decision-making patterns, accountability structures and workforce capability.

Each engagement is bespoke, structured and tailored to the organisation's size, risk profile and regulatory exposure.

How We Work With You

IntegrityStandard works with organisations across three primary engagement models.

Each engagement is tailored, proportionate and structured to the organisation's risk profile.

The Regulatory Landscape Is Shifting

Approved Providers operate within one of the most tightly regulated environments in the country.

National serious incident notifications have continued to rise. Regulatory enforcement activity is increasingly visible and transparent.

Expectations around governance oversight, safeguarding literacy and reportable conduct decision-making have materially strengthened.

Boards and leadership teams are no longer assessed solely on outcomes, but on the integrity of their decision-making processes.

The margin for informal practice is shrinking. Compliance alone is no longer sufficient.

IntegrityStandard exists to build organisations where integrity is operational, not aspirational.

Harri McIvor

IntegrityStandard is built on my extensive operational and compliance experience within regulated, child-focused environments.

I have worked in senior leadership roles across governance, risk, HR and safeguarding. I understand the realities leaders face, including complex incidents, regulatory scrutiny, competing priorities and high-stakes decision-making.

I have operated in environments where safeguarding concerns, serious misconduct matters and organisational risk required calm judgement and decisive action.

I am comfortable in complexity.
I stand firm where others waver.

Leaders can speak plainly here. Whether the concern is immediate child safety, a staff matter that should have been addressed earlier, or uncertainty around next steps, my role is to bring clarity, structure and defensible direction.

This experience informs a practical, steady and ethically grounded approach to strengthening organisations from within.
